Nancy Chaput Honored by Alzheimer's Association
The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter gathered a group of empowered women to launch the first “Champions in the Fight to End Alzheimer’s Women’s Campaign.”
Benchmark is proud that our own Nancy Chaput, Sr. Director of Community Relations at Academy Point at Mystic, is one of the honored champions.
“For the past fourteen years, I have had the honor of working with families and individuals as they navigate the challenges of aging and of memory loss. Whether they are just beginning their journey, or are well down the road with a dementia diagnosis, the opportunity to help guide them - to cry with them, to laugh with them, to learn with them - has been a great blessing to me and has enriched my life and work immensely.
The greatest gift we can give another person is to listen to them, to hear their words and their story, but it's in listening beyond the words that we truly connect with others. In elevating our human connectedness and facing the challenges of dementia together, we can conquer this disease!” – Nancy Chaput
